First post and next steps
Working on updates to the site to expand beyond chemistry, and expand the chemistry section to go beyond an experiment index. Stay tuned! (also just trying the blog setup).
Chemistry
The vision is to create a “curriculum” to learn chemistry, but based on experiments rather than theoretical lectures as the driving mechanism, and with close connections to the history of chemistry and the people who made the discoveries.
Coding
This will start as a “jupyter-notebook-like” environment (but will use a custom component) to explore programming and basic programming concepts. Initially with python since that is both accessible and used for all kinds of things (including embedded programming is relevant for many projects on this site).
Math
Not sure how far this will go, but I have always had a keen interest in interactivity and computing, and I think this can be a great way to explore mathematical concepts. Nothing wrong with textbooks, lectures and paper/blackboard/whiteboard, but interactivity makes the formulas “tangible” in a way that can be really helpful for building intuition.
Projects
I will continue to document projects here. There is a big backlog I hope to get through some day…
